HISTORIC HOTELS & PROPERTIES Booking Terms & Conditions CANCELLATION The guest can cancel free of charge up to 72 hours prior to arrival. The guest will be charged the first night or their deposit if they cancel 72 hours before arrival. NO-SHOW POLICY If a reservation is not cancelled according to our policy, yet the guest / s fails to show, the reservation will be charged in full including any extras requested. COVID-19 BOOKING T&C’s Where Government guidelines force the full or partial closure of our hotel or if the Government guidelines advise that people in your area cannot travel or stay overnight then any bookings and deposits will become fully transferable/refundable. GROUP BOOKINGS Bookings of five or more rooms are classed as ‘Group Bookings.’ Cancellation of a group booking, or part of a group booking can be made free of charge provided the cancellation is made at least 7 days or more prior to arrival. Guests will be charged for the first night or their deposit if the cancellation is less than 7 days prior to arrival. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT Check-in from 3.00 pm [Please contact us if your arrival time will be after 11.30 pm] Check-out by 11.00 am Minimum age of booking is 18 and ID may be requested at the hotel’s discretion. DEPOSITS A £50.00 deposit payment is required on telephone (direct) bookings - if a guest has not paid a deposit for whatever reason and cannot be contacted, we reserve the right to cancel their booking. PAYMENT / CREDIT CARDS Guests are requested to pre-authorise credit cards on arrival to the value of the full stay. DEBIT / CREDIT cards are required to pay on arrival. For guests who wish to pay cash, correct (exact amount) payment is required upon arrival. The Central Hotel accepts the following methods of payment – VISA, MASTERCARD or CASH. The Central Hotel reserves the right to temporarily hold an amount prior to arrival. The Central Hotel reserves the right, on occasion, to charge the first night tariff. INTERNET Wi-Fi is available in all areas and is free of charge. CHILDREN & EXTRA BED POLICY All children are welcome. There is capacity for extra beds in some of the bedrooms – charges apply. There is capacity for extra people in some of the bedrooms – charges can apply. DAMAGE POLICY In the event of hotel property being damaged by a guest / s, damages will be chargeable to the individual who booked the reservation. LOST / BROKEN KEYS If a guest should lose or break a room key, a charge of £50.00 will be sought from the booker. PARKING All guests staying at the Central Hotel will receive the option of parking within their reservation as an extra, subject to availability. We do not have EV [Universal] charging points located in our resident guest’s car park. Car Parking is available from circa noon on the day of arrival until circa noon on the day of departure. ACCESSIBILITY The Central Hotel is situated in the centre of Scarborough. We do not have full facilities for those with mobility issues. Due to the age of the building some guests may experience difficulty navigating the stairways to certain areas of the premises. There are steps from all floors to the third floor, which the lift does not access. The passenger lift is from the ground floor. Our property may not be suitable for guests who have walking difficulties. Please contact us for more information. EVENTS We are happy to say that we are ready to take on your wedding, birthday party, stag or hen parties or any other special occasion. Please contact us for more information. PETS Pets are welcome at a charged extra of £15.00 per pet, per night in selected rooms. CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS A deposit of £100.00 per person will be required to secure your reservation. In the event that the booking is not confirmed then the booking will be released. Full payment for both the Christmas and New Year package are required by 1st December 2022. The Hotel reserves the right to amend any of the content of either Christmas or New Year programme without giving prior notice to the guest. Additional nights are available. Extras such as drinks, wines and additional items etc. should be settled on arrival.
